So, I've wanted a garden my whole life, and the other day I finally made myself one. I had the day to myself and decided to stop procrastinating and decorate my balcony, which has been hiding behind old curtains for three years. After several hours at the garden centers in Home Depot, Sears and Dig This, I came home with a beautiful Victorian hanging basket, a plant stand, basil and parsley (since they can grow in the shade and I get 0 sunlight), two lovely lime green pots, and a lot of flowers. I'm now growing Coleus (wild lime), impatients in three colours, a large green plant that looks like rubarb to me, but I forget it's name (my green thumb is still new) and something wispy and purple. Since then, I've added some mats and candle lanterns, and it had turned out quite nicely. Gardening can definitely be addicting. Can't wait till I have my own back yard!
